Güralp broadband sensors record seismic events and seismic signals of all kinds, from teleseismic events occurring on the other side of the planet, to microseismic events such as those induced by unconventional hydrocarbon extraction (e.g. hydraulic fracturing).

Depending on the type of seismic sensors, a suitable site has to be chosen for the installation of the seismic sensors with protection enclosures. Some of the following considerations for the sensor installation are:

CMG-5TC sensor installation

  • At or ideally below ground level
  • In contact with bedrock, if possible (for volcano/earthquake monitoring)
  • On a hard granite or concrete pier.
  • In an environment with constant temperature.
  • Shielded from air currents.
  • Away from electrical cables and appliances.

Our high performance data acquisition modules ensure that the seismic sensors’ signals are recorded with the highest resolution and accurate timing. Our digitisers are available in standalone packages or integrated into the sensors. We provide multi-channel digitisers with low noise, low power consumption and a range of features. Where extended functionality is required, we provide an acquisition module that can process and act upon incoming data.

We can customize and provide network acquisition module for concatenating data from a number of seismic & earthquake monitoring stations in a network, whereby users can monitor the seismic real-time signals and triggered events remotely from their central monitoring office, and receive email/SMS alerts when the pre-defined seismic threshold level is triggered, thus helpful for facilitating the deployment of officers to inspect the monitoring sites.

Multi-Channel Data Acquisition, with removable or built-in large data memory storage, are used to record the vibration signal detected or measured by our Seismic Sensors for monitoring, post-processing data analysis.

We provide a range of multi-channel data acquisition modules with large memory storage, low noise, wide dynamic range and low power consumption. With extended functionality, the data acquisition module can process and act upon incoming vibration data internally.
