PCB Strain Testing

KYOWATM offers Printed Circuit Assembly (PCA) Stress Measurement Set, PCAS-1000B which include software and sensor interface (data logger), specialized for stress measurements described in IPC/JEDEC-9704A*. It will help beginners to measure PCB (Printed Circuit Board) stress easily.

* The method of evaluating PCBs with strain gages is provided by IPC/JEDEC-9704A. The method can be effectively for various purposes including quality evaluation and trouble analysis.

The PCA Stress Measurement Set comprises of the following components:

  • PCAS-100A Strain Measuring Software, in accordance with IPC/JEDEC-9704 standard;
  • PCD-400B Sensor Interface Unit, for Strain gages and Strain gage based sensors and;
  • UI-55A One-touch Type Input Adapter

Note: Strain gages, adhesive and PC not included.

PCD-400B Series Sensor Interface

The PCD-400 Series are carrier-wave measuring instruments for measuring strain gages, strain-gage transducers and voltage via an USB interface. (PCD-400B: For strain measurement, PCD-430B: For strain and voltage measurement)

PCAS-100A

PCA Stress Measuring Software

Combination with the PCD-400B or PCD-430B, the PCA Stress Measuring Software PCAS-100A is the dedicated software to test stress of PCA.

The PCAS-100A allows a beginner to test a PCA stress, analyze data, and create reports in accordance with IPC/JEDEC-9704A** .

** Evaluation method for PCA using strain gages is regulated by IPC/JEDEC-9704A and it is valid for quality evaluation or failure analysis.
